This is a beautifully written novel. Swati believes that Akanksha, a colleague of her husband, Ajay is a third between them. When his marriage at risk, Ajay decides to go for a trek in Ladakh, only to be stranded when the region experiences the worst floods ever to consume it. He shelters in a remote monastery in the Hemis Sanctuary, where he meets its charismatic abbot, and Anna, a young scholar in search of a lost manuscript. Gradually, the uncertainty over Ajays marriage turns into an exploration of love and sexuality, against an unusual backdrop of spiritual practices, as he realises that passionate restraint can sometimes produce greater fulfilment than consummation.
