Chapter 17 incorporates brief discussion on electrical measuring instruments. It deals with the basic principles construction and working of most commonly used instruments for measurement of current voltage power and energy. The last seven chapters deal with the basic principles and essential features of transformers, alternators, three phase induction motors, synchronous motors, d.c. generators, d. c. motors, and single phase motors.
