Hinduism in reality must be referred to as the oldest living ideology. The most distinct aspect of Hinduism is that it ahs no founder nor is it limited by a defined system of belief and rituals. It is instead an expression comprising the plurality of phenomena, originating from and based on Vedic traditions. Its lack of sweeping certitudes, characteristic tolerance to differences in belief and openness to ideas makes the narrow confines of the word religion antithetical to Hinduism.
