A Boy Called Mouse
Mouse loves living on Hanny and Isaac's farm, where he can clamber inside the barns and ride the horses to his heart's content. Then Mr. Button arrives, a sinister man in a shiny black suit. He takes Mouse away to grim Murk stone hall, a school that breathes terror and fear. All that Mouse has left to remind him of Hanny and Isaac is a silver medal finely engraved with the image of a mouse. He clings to this medal as a reminder of his previous, happier life, as he tries to make sense of this hard and unforgiving new world. Will he ever find a way to escape?
