Hospital Extension Services
The extension services are the hospital services provided by the hospitals at the door steps of the beneficiaries. Holding of free eye camps and medical camps, family planning operation camps, de-addiction services, services to homeless and those in jails, mentally ill patients, administration of vaccines, mobile trauma and critical care terms, specialized clinics of physiotherapy/imaging, prevention and treatment of lifestyle diseases , HIV/ sexually transmitted diseases, and other infections etc. are only some of the examples of ever expanding extension services meant for non-admitted patients and the community at large. It would make an important contribution to the knowledge and existing literature on this expanding field.
