Education for Social Change MVF and Child Labour

Providing free and compulsory education to all children up to fourteen years of age has been declared objective of the state since the framing of the Constitution. Article 24 of the Indian Constitiution clearly states that 'No Child below the age of fourteen years shall be employed to work in any factory of mine or employed in any hazardous employment.MVF has stressed that the formal school system be strengthened to act as an agency in effecting this transformation of child from a worker to a schoolgoer.
