Essentials of Bridge Engineering
The book emphasizes the essential concepts pertaining to the planning, design, construction and maintenance of bridges. Examples with detailed computations have been included for the basic types of bridges in order to illustrate the application of code provisions. It is primarily intended as a textbook for a two semester courses in Bridge Engineering at the University level and as a guide to the bridge engineer in the early part of students professional career. It would also serve as a reference material for the practising engineer.
