In criminal proceedings, a person is granted bail on grounds that he is released to the custom of sureties who are bound to produce him to answer the charge against him or forfeit the sum fixed for which the bail is granted. But he may be refused bail due to bad conduct. In civil proceedings, the person needs to obey the requirements of the court resulting in the immunity from arrest.
