This is a fascinating story of the diplomacy conducted between US and India after the nuclear tests. There was a lengthy dialogue between the countries, US Deputy Secretary o State and the Indian Minister for External Affairs. The agenda was on security and non-proliferation agebda as well as having wider visions for Indo-US relations, including economic and strategic cooperation. Thereafter there was some improvement.
