Dearness Allownce is provided to the Central Government employees in order to compensate them as per the cost of living conditions. Of late the Government has announced a conversion of 50% of DA into Dearness Pay. There are separate chapters dealing with Pay and Increment, DA, DP, DR, Ex Gratia to CPF Retiress, etc. Also available with a supplement with rates of DA w.e.f 01-01-05, ready reckoner for DA (with /without NPA) and Dearness Relief for pension.
