About the Book:
Central Public Works Department Government of India New Delhi vide their memorandum no. 62/SE (TAS)/plinth area rates/122 dated12.12.2007 have issued fresh plinth area rates with reference to base 100 as on 1.10.2007. All preliminary estimates are to be prepared on the basis of these plinth area rates. It has been further instructed vide DG/MAN/243 dated 20.12.2011 that the estimated cost put to tender in the NIT shall be worked out by adjusting the estimated cost of schedule items by cost index and combining it with cost of non schedule items if any worked on the market rates. CPWD offices at headquarter and zones have issued circulars regarding building cost index iver the plinth area rates as on 1.10.2007. Besides circulars regarding repair and cost index, base price of cement and steel for operation of clause 10CA in NCR, Up and Uttrakhand, indices for operation of clause 10CC and 10 CA have also been issued by these offices.
